Hello, my name is Joel Hulsey. I’d like to thank you for taking the time to look around what I have to offer on here. I consider myself a writer first, a digital producer second, a creative mind third, and a photographer fourth. Currently, I work with online content at the NBC affiliate in St. Louis, Missouri. There, I am responsible for creating and managing content for both our website and social media pages. Working full-time as an undergraduate at the news affiliate, I am given the chance not only to network but also to use the talents I know I’m capable of to create content that’s compelling, honest, and true to the basic foundation of journalistic integrity. While attending school full-time and working full-time leaves my plate full day in and day out, I can’t think of many of other thrills in life than being able to do what I love in what feels effortless. I’m grateful and humbled, and I aim to continue to represent myself and my company in the most positive light possible.
As a side hobby, I thoroughly enjoy the history and exploration of abandoned buildings. Throughout my blog, there is heavy influence in my dialogue of the importance such an oddity has in my creative process. While it may sound petty, the photographs and memories I have associated with these buildings and locations are a key reason I am where I am today. If you have any questions or interest regarding my interest in abandoned places, please feel free to reach out to me.
Again, thank you for reading what I post that crosses my mind from time to time. For inquiries or questions of any kind, please feel free to use the boxes below, or use the Contact page for further help.
